Billy Carrión has bore witness to the entire unfolding of salsa while singing with many
of it’s most legendary practitioners. His beginnings in Salsa were in Mayagüez Puerto Rico, with Orquesta La Solución along side Frankie Ruiz, followed by his successful work with Salsa musical legends such as: Ray Barreto, Johnny Pacheco, Celia Cruz, Eddie Palmieri, Luís Perico Ortiz, La India, Kako & Orquesta, Joe Quijano, Manny Oquendo
y Libre, Orquesta Los Rodríguez & others. Billy is best known around the world for his role
as the lead vocalist in Luis Perico Ortiz Orchestra’s Romantic Salsa recordings.
During his musical career Billy has successfully performed on stages around the world in: France, Germany, Holland, Brussels, Spain, Japan, England, Venezuela, Perú, Guatemala, Colombia to name a few. In 2003 Billy performed with “THE FANIA ALL STARS” at their New York's Madison Square Garden concert as a "Corista and Maraquero".
Billy's versatile vocal style has gained him a place among the most acclaimed and
respected figures in Latin Music.
